Warranty

Backed By a Warranty.

Residential garage and interior floors carry a limited lifetime warranty. Commercial and outdoor floors carry a 3-year warranty. Here is exactly what that means.

The short answer

If your coating peels, delaminates or lifts because of our materials or our installation, we fix it. A residential garage or interior floor is covered for as long as you own the property. Commercial floors and outdoor concrete are covered for three years.

The warranty is limited, which means it covers coating failures and not every problem a floor can have. We spell out what is and is not covered below so there are no surprises. See what the work costs or request a free estimate.

Repair labor is included at no charge during the first year after installation. Your written estimate and agreement state the terms that apply to your project; if they differ from this page, the written agreement controls.

What the warranty covers

  • Peeling, delamination or blistering, where the coating separates from the concrete because of our materials or installation.
  • Hot-tire pickup, where the coating lifts or peels under tires that have sat on it after driving.
  • Defects in the coating materials we supply.
  • Staining from ordinary household and automotive fluids, when spills are cleaned up in a reasonable time.

When a covered problem is confirmed, we repair or recoat the affected area. Covered repairs include the materials for the life of the warranty and the labor during the first year after installation.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Normal wear, light scratches and the gradual dulling of gloss that comes with everyday use.
  • Impact and gouging, such as dropped tools, jack stands, heavy equipment or anything dragged across the floor.
  • New cracks, settling or movement in the concrete. A coating improves a slab; it cannot stop it from moving.
  • Moisture or water pressure coming up through the slab, and other conditions in the concrete itself that a coating cannot fix.
  • Damage from harsh chemicals, solvents or improper cleaning, and spills left on the floor for a long time.
  • Repairs, recoats or added products applied by anyone other than Epoxy Panda.
  • Damage from fire, flood, severe weather or other events outside our control.
  • Slight color or flake variation and normal fading from sun exposure.
  • Commercial wear beyond what the system was selected for, such as steel-wheeled equipment on a system chosen for rubber tires.

The slab matters. Before we coat, we inspect the concrete for existing coatings, cracks, contamination and moisture, and we tell you what we find. If a condition could affect the result, we say so in your estimate.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Contact us

Call (817) 697-7510 or use the contact form as soon as you notice a problem.

  2. Send photos

Include a few clear photos of the problem and the whole floor, and tell us roughly when it first appeared.

  3. We review and inspect

We look at your photos and, when needed, inspect the floor in person.

  4. We repair what is covered

If the problem is covered, we repair or recoat the affected area. If it is not, we explain why and what your options are.

How to keep your floor covered

  • Sweep or dust-mop loose grit regularly, then clean with water and a mild cleaner made for coated floors.
  • Wipe up automotive fluids, chemicals and other spills rather than letting them sit.
  • Avoid harsh solvents, strong acids and abrasive scrubbing pads.
  • Do not drag heavy items across the floor, and use pads under jack stands and heavy storage.
  • Keep your paperwork, including the estimate and the date of installation.

Limits of the warranty

This is a limited warranty. Our responsibility is to repair or recoat a covered failure. It does not extend to indirect or consequential losses, such as the cost of moving belongings or time away from your business. The warranty is not transferable. Your written estimate and agreement set out the details for your project and control if they differ from this summary.

Warranty questions

How long does the warranty last?

Residential garage and interior floors carry a limited lifetime warranty for the original property owner. Commercial floors and outdoor concrete such as patios carry a 3-year warranty. Your written estimate and agreement state the warranty that applies to your project.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell my house?

No. The warranty belongs to the original property owner who hired us and does not transfer to a new owner. Keep your paperwork, because it is how you show the date and scope of the work.

Does the warranty cover hot-tire pickup?

Yes. If the coating peels or lifts where hot tires have sat, that is covered, as long as the floor was installed and maintained as described on this page.

Does the warranty cover cracks in the concrete?

No. A coating cannot stop concrete from moving or cracking. We repair routine cracks and pits during preparation, but a new crack that forms because the slab moves or settles is not a coating failure. We will tell you if we see a slab condition that could cause one.

What can void the warranty?

Repairs or coatings applied over our work by someone else, damage from harsh chemicals or abuse, and moisture or structural problems in the slab. See the exclusions below for the full list.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Tell us as soon as you notice a problem and send a few photos. We review them, inspect the floor in person when needed, and repair anything the warranty covers. The steps are listed on this page.
